Hydraulic system for Metal forming machine

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Operation required the process to carry out three operations on the meatal strip for assembly purposes. This required us to design the complete hydraulic system that preformed each function at varying pressures and speeds to ensure the level and amount of forming was correct each time. Our system required us to design and manufacture hydraulic cylinders for the various functions along with the use of various control valves to ensure sufficient force was provided along with the accurate travel of the cylinders. In total 10 cylinders were used and 4 different working pressure and 2 different travel speeds. We designed our system and worked closely with our customer’s automation department to ensure we achieved the sequence of operation in the required time. We went on site and carried out the complete installation of the system including all rigid and flexible pipe work. Pressure testing of all pipe work and commissioning of the complete system.
